Hello Everyone. I don't know how many of you are even reading this blog anymore, but I thought that I should update you on what's going on. (No, I haven't left the country to train yodeling monkeys for Barmitzvas in Israel).
Rest assured, Genius Brothers Productions has been very busy. As you know, we have recently released our newest venture, an audio show called Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. These shows are easier to edit and quicker to produce, so I've been working another storyline for a follow up to the last show.
However, I know that you're waiting for the lego stop-motion movies. The movie closest to completion is Castle Siege, which is well on its way. I'm not making any promises, (I made a promise that I'd release it last year), but when it is done, it will be great. (Don't be so impatient, stop-motion takes a while. Besides, I have a life).
We're also working on story ideas for two other movies, both of which will result in sequels. As you know, I am planning on producing The Army Men Movie, Part 2. The movie will go beyond special ops missions (although we'll keep that in the next movie, but it'll play a smaller role), and delve into how Lego Island conducts massive military operations. The whole movie will have a real strategic feel with bases, base defenses, war factories, futuristic/modern vehicles, and highly experimental technologies.
The second movie we have in mind is Sonicman. The story involves a laboratory experiment on a mouse going very wrong, and the Lego Island military and police having to respond to the ensuing threat. However, it will take someone with the guts and intillegence to bring an advanced weapon to defeat the threat. Please welcome the Sonicman, Lego Island's first superhero. Now, the superhero story arc will happen in the same universe as The Army Men Movies, and will take place shortly before the events of Part 2. As such, I want to preserve the realism of the Army Men series, while having fun with some outlandish superhero stuff. It might seem impossible, but I think I've got it figured out.
Keep in mind that this is all very tentative, and only Castle Siege is currently in production, with Sonicman and The Army Men Movie, Part 2, being scheduled to begin pre-production almost simultaneously soon thereafter. I know that no one is probably reading this, but if you are and are a big fan of Genius Brothers Productions' movies, then hold tight. A lot of good stuff is going on. I'm even partnering with Victory Seal Pictures and Chameleon Pictures.
Ok, one last thing. I was planning on releasing a trailer for Castle Siege to hold you all over until I release the real movie, but I ran into some complications regarding background music and voiceovers. I'm afraid a full trailer won't be released to the public until a little further down the road. However, I did want to show you this video I found on Godtube. I know it's not a stop-motion lego movie, but I think it fits. After all of the fantasy/sci-fi fun of Lego Galaxy, I think it's time to appreciate a video from the real world.
