Type: Large Artillery Walker

/

Background

/

The Juggernaut was a result of Project Firestorm. Project Firestorm was a program with the goal of completely redoing Lego Island's military. In previous wars, Lego Island's military focused on making technologically-advanced, fast, hard-hitting vehicles. On the other hand, Project Firestorm's vehicles are slow-moving, highly-armored, and unstoppable.

/

After the Scorpion War, it was obvious that something was needed to bombard the enemy from a distance, in order to lessen the casualties in the initial assault. Lego Island scientists went to work on a vehicle that fulfill this need. It was decided that the vehicle would be placed on a walker system in order to allow the vehicle to deploy anywhere on the battlefield. Add three artillery cannons, and you have the Juggernaut, a massive mobile artillery walker.

/

Towering at four and a half inches tall with three heavy cannons, adding a compartment for a human driver would overwhelm the mechanical legs supporting it. That was the case with the Juggernaut Mk. I. Thus, the Juggernaut Mk. II is driven by remote control. Because of this, the MCC7, (Mobile Command Center) comes equipped with a Juggernaut control computer.

Battlefield Specifications

/

The Juggernaut is capable of bombarding targets up to six feet away. It can also fire on closer targets but will be less accurate. For all this prowess, it had one Achilles Heel. It could not engage air targets. Fearing that this would render the Juggernaut useless on the battlefield, Lego Island scientists added a mechanism that could switch the Juggernaut's payload from armor piercing rounds to anti-air flak rounds. This doesn't make the Juggernaut completely impervious to air attacks, but it does help.

/

The Juggernaut utilizes the Purifier Walker system, captured from the Scorpions after their defeat. The Purifier was the Scorpion Army's towering battle walker. It overcomes the problems of supporting a top-heavy vehicle, by adding stabilizers at the back of the legs. These stabilizers deploy whenever the vehicle is not moving, and help keep the walker from falling over under its own weight. Once this walker system was in Lego Island's hands, Lego Island jumped ahead in the race for the ultimate walker.

Lego Movie Trailer: The Army Men Movie

Here is something Zachary cooked up. I'm very impressed. He did better on the special effects than I've ever done. Except maybe the lightsabers. :)

And there's more to come!!!
