Here is something Zachary cooked up. I'm very impressed. He did better on the special effects than I've ever done. Except maybe the lightsabers. :)
And there's more to come!!!
"Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the LORD. There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off." - Proverbs 23:17-18 (NIV)

Dagobah!!!
Just to let you know, the title has absolutely nothing to do with this blog entry.
Let me tell you a story.
I was at junior college, waiting for my class to start. But alas, my class did not start for another few hours. So, I decided I would sit in on my sister Alisa's class. It was a music class, so I didn't expect to contribute anything at that particular visit. The teacher began class by laying out what was and wasn't in that class, what you needed to know to stay in the class, ect.
Anyway, I was sitting there, contently listening, when the teacher began to pass out a test to evaluate the students' musical knowledge. When the test came to me, I took one and passed the rest back to the student behind me. I pondered, and thought that I should probably leave the test blank, and hand in it when the time was up.
But then, I thought that if I left it blank, and the teacher saw the blank test, he would ask why I left it blank, and then I would have to admit that I had no business being in that class. So I answered the questions to the best of my ability, hoping the teacher would merely check to see if I had answered the questions but not grade them until that night, like he said he would.
So I got to the first problem. The test said I had to fill in my name. I knew I couldn't write my real name, so I wrote: Phil Morgan-Jorgan. Phil being the first name, and Morgan-Jorgan being the last name. Then I read the first question. It said the name the four notes shown in the picture. So I wrote: flat, sharp, who knows?, and maybe.
The second question was, name the keys displayed in this strand of music. There were four places to put my four answers. So I wrote: Door Key, Car Key, Mailbox Key, & Donkey.
The third question was, something like "describe this scale". It had two spaces for answers, so I wrote: Fish scale & lizard scale.
The fourth question was, something like "name this chord". It had four answers, so I wrote: Diameter, 2 dogs, and a partridge, & in a pear tree.
The last question was, something like "describe this note". So I wrote: Hi mom.
Then I turned over to the next page, which told me to write my name and phone number again. After I filled in them in (both were fake), I had answer a few questions about myself. First it asked if I had any musical experience. It had a "yes" and a "no" for me to circle. So I wrote "maybe" and circled that.
Then it told me to briefly describe my musical background. So I wrote, "La la la la la la." I guess I should've written "Do instruments of torture count?"
After that, I waited until the teacher said to hand in the tests. So I got up, along with a lot of other students, to hand in the test. All the while, under the impression that the teacher would put the tests in a pile, and then grade the tests later that night, like he said he would. But as I walked up there, I saw him look at each test carefully, and then put in a pile. Worry began to set in. And then, right when I was about to give the teacher my test, another student walked up and asked the teacher a question. While the teacher's attention was diverted, I quickly put the test on the pile and calmly walked back to my seat. I was confident the student asking the question would put his test on top of mine, hiding it from view.
As I was calming down from that close call, the teacher got up, and said, "Who's Phil Morgan? Uh, Morgan... Jorgan? Is he here? Has he already left? Does anyone know him?"
Oh boy. Oh boy. This was bad. Very bad. My cheeks blushed as I was certain that I would be caught now. I tried my best to keep a straight face. At this point, Alisa was wondering, "Why hasn't anyone said that they know him?"
The teacher then began to read the test in his mind more carefully. He then chuckled to himself and said to the class, "Wow, look at this. Now, Rachel, here, will witness that I am not lying..." He went to a girl at a front desk and had her look at the test. "See it says, "Door Key, Car Key, Mailbox Key, and Donkey.'" As soon as he said donkey, the entire class began laughing. At first, I tried to keep a straight face. Then I realized that I really wasn't Phil Morgan-Jorgan, I would be laughing too. So I let out the laughter that I was keeping in.
At that point, Alisa realized that I was Phil Morgan-Jorgan. Then the teacher mentioned my answer that read, "Diameter, 2 dogs, and a partridge in a pear tree." Then a few students behind me were saying things like, "Who is this guy?", and "Maybe he's a poet".
The teacher went on to say, "This is really creative. I am keeping this. Whenever I come across things like this, I make it a point to hold on them."
Then a student walked to the front of the class to talk to the teacher. The teacher then showed the student my test and said, "See, at the scale question, it says, 'Lizard scale, fish scale.' Get it? Because lizards and fish have scales?"
After the class (and the teacher) got over that incident, the teacher continued with a few more statements about future classes and then dismissed the class. As soon as I got outside, I whispered to Alisa, "Wait until we are far away from this class."
When we were a sufficient distance away, Alisa said, "I can't believe you actually did that." We talked about it for a few minutes, and then walked to our next class.
And that, is the end my yarn. With the end of this story, you will see a poll at the side of this blog. You can decide for yourself whether this story is true or not. After a few weeks, I will tell you.

Blog Stoppage no. 2
No one has blogged in weeks, so I hereby declare a blog stoppage. This is the second blog stoppage in the history of the blog circle ( Consisting of Alisa, Danielle, Davis, and me ). Whoever is the first one to break the blog stoppage with a blog, is declared the official Stoppage Breaker. He or she is now responsible for being the first one to break blog stoppages whenever issued. The Stoppage Breaker will keep his or her title until someone else breaks a blog stoppage first. Alisa is the current Stoppage Breaker. Can she hold her title? The longer a blog stoppage stays unbroken, the more annoying comments appear on your blog. Have a nice day.

Did You Know? Fact 8
And now... it's time for... Did You Know?
Fact 8: Did you know that the word battery ( in the sense of double A's/AA ) is not the legitimate word for it? The real name is "dry cell". "Battery" was just the name of a company that manufactured them.
In the next 50 years, could the name "tissue" be forgotten, and the word "Kleenex" take its place?
Well, you know it now! And don't you forget it!

Knights Promise - Part 1
"William! Behind you!" William turned around and parried a blow just in time. The soldier attacked violently, but William saw an opening and brought his sword down hard on his enemy.
"William," a different voice called over the clashing of steel. "King Malcolm needs you in the throne room!" William leaned over the castle walls and gave the ladder leaning against it a hard push. The enemy soldiers still climbing it screamed as they fell into the moat. William ran for the keep.
When he entered the throne room, he King Malcolm rushed toward him and frantically said, "Sir William! Thanks goodness you are here! You must leave with Gerald immediately!"
William was stunned at the news. Gerald simply stood by the throne sadly with the baby prince in his arms. "Leave? But the battle is not over. We can still win!"
The king ignored what he said and pointed at the wall where Gerald stood. "There is a secret passage here. You must get as far away from here as possible. Have Gerald hide Matthias among a peasant family and you must become a knight in the service of another king. When you have found favor in his eyes, ask him to give you command of an army. Use it to retake this kingdom!"
William could barely believe what the king was saying. "My king, I cannot leave you here..."
"Promise me you will protect my son and do your best to see that he becomes king of this land."
William could not believe what he was hearing. But he could see the pleading in his king's eyes. "I promise."
"Then go!" King Malcolm kicked the wall twice, and it opened. Gerald went first, then William. William waited until the wall closed again then pulled a cork from the wall. He looked through the hole and saw Sir Fenris enter the throne room.
"Sir Fenris," the king said. "What has happened?"
"More than you know," he replied. "You're reign is over, King Malcolm. I am king now."
"I knew you couldn't be trusted. I should have had cut off your ugly head long ago."
"You shall pay for that mistake with your life!"
William could not believe his eyes. Three men in black hooded cloaks materialized and drew their swords. The swords seemed to be made of some kind of dark steel. William replaced the cork in the wall just as the hooded men advanced King Malcolm.

VT Report 2: Athletic Squirrel
VT Report 2. "VT" stands for video time. Here is a squirrel I would put on par with Ronaldinho himself.

JC Report 9: Prayer
JC Report 9.
Prayer. If it's something we do as a formality before every meal or before we go to bed, then this next verse will seem ridiculous.
"Pray without ceasing", 1 Thessalonians 5:17
I'm sure you all know what the word "cease" means. Anyway, if you think of prayer as talking to God, then the verse makes more sense. Whenever you need to make a difficult decision, pray. Whenever you're not sure what to do, pray. Prayer should be the default for everything we do. As I say, "When in doubt, pray."
I'll admit, I don't always follow that peice of advice. In fact, I forget this a lot. Our fleshly nature wants us to depend on no one, to be our own person. But if that happens, then God will probably send you a tough situation to show you just how much you need Him.
Another topic I'd like to touch on is praying for things. Often, when we want something, we pray for it. Now that's okay, if you bear in mind that God is not a vending machine. He is a friend. He wants what's best for you. He'll give you what you need, and what you want if it's a good thing and if you're ready for it.
"Therefore the LORD longs to be gracious to you, And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you For the LORD is a God of justice; How blessed are all those who long for Him." Isaiah 30:18
He longs to be gracious to you. What does that mean? It means that you are not always ready for whatever gift God has in store for you. If God gave you all His blessings of position, title, authority, etc. all at the same time, when you're not ready for it, you would misuse it. And that would be a terrible waste.
But does that mean God doesn't want us to pray at all? That he already knows what we want and need, so therefore we don't need to pray? Of course not. The answer would be yes if the only reason you pray is to get stuff from God. But like I said before, I God is your friend. He wants you to know Him better, to have a relationship with Him. And that is the best friendship you could ever have.
And I believe that is what sets our God apart from other false gods. He is a God of love, because He is love. Make it a habit to talk to God. He wants to hear from you. And not like a company who wants feedback about its product. He's the best friend you could ever have. Take my word for it. Even though I'm not very old, the few times I've felt Him strongly... are the times I wouldn't trade for anything. And you can feel it too.
Well, that's all the time I have for today. I'll start on another blog, eat a snack, then go to bed in 6 minutes. So long!
